The workspace is divided into 4 areas (can be reconfigured): (workspace screenshot)

  • Project-management: The CCL modeler is based on the concepts interrelated projects that contains resources such as CCLibrary file (*.ccl).
  • Outline: A model could be viewed as a hierarchical information. This is showed in an outline view.
  • Views and properties: Each selected library element of a library may be have further information associated with it such as version information. This information in shown in the properties view.
    Additional views dedicated to performing various task are available:
    • Task: list of task to perform when editing a library
    • Problems: shows problems that needs to be addressed, such as results from validation.
    • Properties: Additional properties such as version information and names
    • Semantic search view: Search a library for text (regular expression),. ie .the whole library is treated as a text database.
    • DerivationChain: display how aggregates are derived/restricted/extended from each other.
    • Terms: summary list with all terms that are defined in a library.
    • CategorizationView: displays all context that govern a particular library element, such as the CCTS 8 context categories.
    • Wordnet: search for term in WordNet.s vast library of nouns and verbs
    • Dolce: search for terms and axioms in Dolce semantical ontology
    • SUMO: search for terms and axioms in SUMO semantical ontology
  • Editor: the main workarea that displays information in libraries according to many views/pages:
    • Selection: shows the outline
    • ABS, ACC, BIE shows aggregates.
    • Primitives, CCT, UDT, QDT shows datatypes
    • CodeList show codelists
    • IdentiferList shows available identifier lists
    • Graph: display a diagram/graph of selected library element.
