An integral part of creating standardized information entities and business objects are so called Contexts. A Context is a set of model elements governs how an element such an Business Information Entity (BIE) is interpreted. The CCL tool support Contexts by several mechanism.

  • Context Providers may be found using one or more algorithms. examples are:
    1. Direct context: a categorization reference is attached to a model element such as a BIE:
    2. Container hierarchy: context providers are found by traversing the containers in which a BIE is located in. CCTS Business Contexts are found using this algorithm.

    After finding all Context Providers each provider is examined for its Category Values which are associated with a Category Type. A set of predefined Category Types are developed to match each CCTS Context Category

    A specialized Package has been constructed in order to simplify the creation of CCTS Business Contexts.

    Examples::

    • A Classified Aggregate Business Information Entity (ABIE) according to hierarchical ‘business context’ and its own specific categorization. (screenshot)
